Orient Express La Dolce Vita

A grand return to Italy — glamour, gastronomy and hidden treasures by rail.

About the Train

Orient Express La Dolce Vita marks a triumphant return to Italy for one of the world's most storied travel brands. Born from a partnership between Arsenale S.p.A. and Orient Express of the Accor Group, in collaboration with Trenitalia and Fondazione FS Italiane, the train traverses more than 16,000 km of Italian railway — including 7,000 km of historic, non-electrified lines seldom seen by modern travellers.

Designed by the acclaimed Milanese studio Dimorestudio, the interiors pay homage to the glamour, joie de vivre and artistic fervour of 1960s Italy. Sumptuous fabrics, smoked-mirror walls, lacquered ceilings and brass finishes celebrate Italian craftsmanship at every turn. With capacity for just 62 guests across six itineraries, La Dolce Vita offers an intimate, bespoke experience through some of Europe's most captivating landscapes.

On board, award-winning Italian cuisine and regional wines are served in a beautifully appointed restaurant car, while the Bar Car invites aperitivo rituals beneath a bright lacquered ceiling. Tailored excursions at each destination allow guests to explore hidden gems — from the UNESCO World Heritage streets of Matera to the vineyards of Montalcino — before returning to the comfort of their private cabin.
